GLS Denmark has launched Express10 and Express12, two new domestic services for next-day deliveryby 10:00 or 12:00.
“We usually deliver domestic shipments within 24 hours,” said Karsten Klitmøller, GeneralManager GLS Denmark. “But with the Express10-Service and the Express12-Service, shipments areguaranteed to arrive on the next day at the desired time.”
Both new services are designed to allow business clients to benefit from faster deliveriesand to be able to rely on guaranteed delivery when making plans. This facilitates the organisationof incoming goods for companies and enables retailers to provide their customers with pre-orderedgoods at the agreed time.
With the new services, shippers can order a pickup until the afternoon. GLS then collects thegoods and delivers them on the next working day. Both Express10 and Express12 are service add-onsto GLS’s domestic GLS parcel product.
“Our goal is to support our clients’ businesses as best as we can,” explained Klitmøller. Thereliability required for these new time-definite services is achieved by means of additionalmonitoring measures.
For business clients, GLS Denmark has a range of additional service options that allows themto customise shipping according to their individual needs. For instance, the company offers aretour service, as well as delivery to private recipients through one of about 850 GLS ParcelShops. Also, GLS offers express and courier solutions for urgent shipping through its subsidiaryGLS Express.
The company operates out of its main hub at Kolding and has eight other depots, and uses afleet of more than 500 vehicles.
