PostNL Parcels has signed a contract with Dutch DA Retail Group and service organisationDrogistenunie to deliver products for more than 400 DA drugstores and their wholesale business.
As of 1 January 2013, DA Retail Group’s and Drogistenunie’s logistics partner PostNL isdelivering some 105,000 roll containers per year to affiliated DA drugstores and customers. PostNLtransports the full range of drugstore merchandise, including beauty, health and grooming products,through its Cargo Service network.
Cargo Service is PostNL’s division responsible for 24-hour palletised and piece cargotransport in the BeNeLux region as well as in 23 other European countries. Through a local networkof 5 depots and a fleet of 100 delivery vehicles in BeNeLux, the Cargo Service delivers pallets,roll containers and individual shipments to business clients on a daily basis. In the Netherlands,the business employs approximately 40 staff.
