UPS has introduced a new US domestic less-than-truckload service for next-morning delivery afterFedEx’s recent claims to offer the fastest trucking times in the country.
UPS’s new time-definite LTL service is designed to help LTL shippers meet growing demand whileenabling their customers to better plan their workdays. “Our latest shipping option ensures that UPS Freight’s LTL portfolio offers a delivery guaranteefor every shipping need, whether it’s urgent or simply day-definite,” Holmes said. “UPSFreight strives to ensure that goods are delivered door-to-door in the most efficient andcost-effective way possible.”
This latest next-morning addition to UPS Freight’s service portfolio follows after FedEx’s claimin late September that, according to a market study, its Freight Priority service outspeedscompetitors’ LTL services, making the company the fastest in terms of road freight transit times.FedEx Freight already offers a guaranteed ‘10:30 A.M.’ time-definite delivery service for priorityand economy freight deliveries in the USA and Canada.
