DHL Express has supported the French Couture Week in Singapore and the world tour of Britishfashion designer Vivienne Westwood with its accessories showcase in Tokyo, Japan, as the official
logistics partner of Fashion Week events around the world.The French Couture Week took place at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, the world’s mostexpensive standalone casino property, from 30 November to 2 December 2012. Bringing the best ofhaute couture to Singapore for the second year in a row, DHL Express partnered with the FideFashion Weeks, the driving force behind Men’s Fashion Week, Women’s Fashion Week and French CoutureWeek.
In collaboration with the faculty and students of the Raffles Design Institute (RDI), DHL andFide Fashion Weeks launched the inaugural ‘Fide Fashion Weeks and DHL Fashion Design Competition’.It serves as a platform to identify young aspiring Singapore designers and to further the localfashion scene.
The 39 students participating in the competition drew inspiration from DHL’s business, itsred and yellow colours and its 40 year anniversary of operations in Singapore. From 114 sketchessubmitted for the initial round, eight designs were chosen for the finals incorporating thepackaging materials provided by DHL.

For the event in Tokyo at the Tsunamachi Mitsui Club on 29 November, DHL delivered theaccessories collection by Vivienne Westwood featuring accessories from the 2013 Spring/Summercollection under the title “Dressing Up – Showcase Special Accessories”. As the Official LogisticsPartner of Vivienne Westwood for its worldwide exhibitions and catwalk shows since 2010, DHL hasbeen delivering the iconic designer’s latest collections to special events touring Europe and Asiafor the last two months.
