Hermes Fulfilment has won an extension of its long-standing contract with entertainment electronicsretailer Chal-Tec for another three years.
Since 2007, Hermes Fulfilment has provided warehousing and distribution for the onlineretail firm. Berlin-based Chal-Tec offers around 12,400 different articles, from PA systems andmicrophones to TVs and refrigerators, all of which are stored in Hermes Fulfilment’s hub for brownand white goods in Löhne (North Rhine Westphalia).
“In Hermes we have found an experienced and reliable partner,” said Peter Chaljawski,Chal-Tec CEO. “Thanks to our partnership we were able to quickly expand our online activities sincewe have access to scaleable handling capacities in Löhne.”
Hermes Fulfilment, founded in 2006, started to provide logistic services for entertainmentelectronics companies in 2007. Per year, the Hermes subsidiary processes some 500,000 items forChal-Tec, which offers its products not only via its own online shops but also supplies onlinemarketplaces such as amazon.com. Today, the company delivers its goods to a total of 27 countries,23 more than in its first year in 2007.
