Lithuania Post rebrands courier business as LP Express

Lithuania Post launches LP Express

Lithuania Post is strengthening its position in the courier and parcels business by bundlingactivities under a new brand, LP Express.

LP Express will also cover the self-service parcel terminals previously operated under the nameSiuntos24. The company currently has 71 ‘LP Express 24’ terminals in 41 towns and cities across thecountry.

LP Express manager Domas Sabaitis said: “We hope that a new image and considerably higherquality results will enable us to offer high-level customer service and become one of the topleading companies operating in the delivery area.”

Customers can send items by LP Express courier, to an LP Express 24 terminal or via the morethan 700 post offices in the country.
 
Lithuania Post said it has also implemented new and up-to-date data processing systems thatensure higher speed and better quality for data exchange. Customers will also be offered moreflexible times for item collection and delivery.

In future LP Express couriers will wear newly designed clothes and perform delivery withvehicles bearing the business’ new logo.

This summer Lithuania Post took over Baltic Post, the company behind the Siuntos 24 parcelterminals, in order to strengthen its parcel business.

The postal operator made a small profit of LTL 0.7 million (€0.2 million) in 2011, its firstyear in the black since 2007. Its revenues increased 5% to LTL 183 million (€53 million).
