Statoil awards Bring Norway’s biggest logistics contract

Bring, the Norway Post logistics business, has been chosen as the supplier of logistics servicesfor Statoil’s operations on the Norwegian continental shelf.



The contract is valid for 4 years and may be extended by up to 6 years. Its value was notdisclosed but Norway Post described it as the country’s “biggest logistics contract”.

“This is a major vote of confidence in Bring. The contract was won in the face of stiffinternational competition and means that our long collaboration with Statoil will now be even moreextensive,” said Dag Mejdell, CEO of Norway Post.

Bring Cargo AS currently offers Statoil tailor-made transport and forwarding services byroad, rail, air and sea, and it is this contract that is now being both renewed and extended.

The contract covers more than 200,000 transport assignments each year. In addition, Bring isresponsible for customs clearance, transport between the oil bases and the quality assurance ofdeliveries and also has personnel working at Statoil’s locations.
