Swiss Post has enhanced its domestic express delivery service Swiss-Courier with three newdelivery options to better respond to customers’ needs while offering eco-friendly
transportation.The three options “Turbo”, “Rapid” and “Standard” make the delivery of urgent shipments in 30,60 or 120 minutes respectively within defined cities and urban areas.
“The rapid arrival of consignments is often critical for business success. Swiss-Courier ensuresthat your consignment arrives at its destination throughout Switzerland and the Principality ofLiechtenstein in the shortest possible time,” Swiss Post said in a statement.
Customers can order the Swiss-Courier service via internet or by phone with both the recipientand the shipper receiving notifications via e-mail or SMS as soon as the consignment has beenreceived or successfully delivered including track & trace options.
The improved service is also eco-friendly by combining bicycle, rail and road transport, SwissPost explained. To ensure the lowest possible impact on the environment, Swiss Courier chooses thefastest point-to-point route.
For carbon-neutral delivery, customers can make use of Swiss Post’s pro clima” service by payinga small additional charge “of no more than a few cents”, the company added.
