Geodis Calberson has launched daily road freight services from the UK to Spain and Portugaloffering deliveries in 72 hours as an alternative to air freight.
The company said it now offers EUROTOP and EUROFIRST services departing the UK every eveningand providing 72 hour door-to-door service to the Iberian peninsula. Both services provide a highlyefficient offering that has been welcomed by customers and that is a real alternative to airfreightwith door to door visibility via the web, it claimed.
The Geodis Group’s new partner Buytrago provides overnight express delivery to the whole ofSpain and Portugal and security is assured with on-line booking tools providing labelling,estimated delivery dates as well as tracking for UK clients.
Cargo collected on day one in the UK arrives into the Madrid terminal on the afternoon ofday three and is delivered to most destinations the following day after 0020. Urgent goods destinedfor Madrid and surrounding areas can be delivered in 48 hours door to door on request.
The daily direct service to Spain and Portugal follows the launch of a similar dailyconnection between UK and Italy some months ago.
