TNT Lit Cargo, TNT Express’ unit in Chile, has received Investors in People (IIP) accreditation ina first-ever such certification in the country.
TNT Lit Cargo, with 2,000 employees, is the first company in Chile to achieve this standard,which recognises good practice in people management and development. Assessors who inspected thecompany in July praised TNT Lit Cargo for its training programmes and its success in creating astrong company culture.
TNT Express has gained Investors in People (IIP) accreditation in several other countries inrecent years.
TNT Lit Cargo holds a leadership position in Chile’s domestic delivery market and also offersinternational delivery services to/from South American countries. TNT Express bought the Chileancompany in 2009 to expand its operations in South America following the earlier acquisitions ofMercúrio and Araçatuba in Brazil. At the time, LIT Cargo had 1,500 employees, 55 depots and nearly500 vehicles.
