British parcel terminal operator ByBox has signed a contract with Costa Express, the UK marketleader in self-serve gourmet coffee, to distribute spare parts to the firm’s engineers across the
UK via its locker network.Under the deal, the specialist in pre-8am deliveries to lockers will ensure that engineers willget the necessary parts to maintain their self-serve coffee machines and fix any problems that mayoccur.
Using the lockers, engineers can both receive and return parts. When the parts are delivered,they are informed via texts or e-mails so they don’t have to wait. To collect their part, they needto scan their access cards at the respective locker. To return parts, they simply stick a returnlabel on the respective piece and put it into the locker.

Costa Express operates self-serve machines in over 1200 outlets across the UK. These machinesuse state of the art technology grinding the beans to the exact texture, tamping the coffee intothe filter and heating the water to the precise temperature to ensure that the key flavours areextracted from the beans.
