Hermes UK extends home delivery contract with fashion retailer JD Williams

Hermes UK has extended its contract with the fashion retailer JD Williams for home deliveriesnationwide and beyond the UK until 2017 with Hermes continuing to handle more than 15 million items

annually.

Under the agreement, Hermes will broaden its existing delivery options benefitting retailers inthe direct home shopping sector. The company provides standard, next-day and added value deliveryservices on behalf of 32 JD Williams brands across the UK and to mainland Europeandestinations.

In concrete terms, Hermes uses 15 trailers each day for collection from two distribution centresin Shaw and Hadfield, along with a direct dispatch service involving more than 300 suppliers.

All shipments are transported to Hermes’ northern hub in Warrington for sorting and onwarddelivery to the UK depot network or international partners. All parcels within the UK are thendistributed to more than 7,500 lifestyle couriers for delivery to households nationwide.
