DHL Express Russia simplifies cargo imports and speeds up air deliveries to and from Russian Far East

DHL Express Russia has launched new direct international line hauls from Vladivostok to HongKong and an import service for incoming cargo that provides a single customs clearance for multiple

It claimed the new twice-weekly direct route between Vladivistok and Hong Kong had reduceddelivery times from the cities in Russia’s Far East to most international destinations by one day.Express deliveries to the US are now taking only one day from Vladivostok to New York, forexample.

Sergey Golosov, Area Manager for Siberia and Far East region for DHL Express Russia, said:“Russia plays an important role in the economics of the Asia Pacific region, which certainlyimpacts on international trade with the Far East. The growth of the express delivery market inRussia is an indicator of active trade development. Now that the number of express shipmentsbetween Russia, US, China and other APEC countries is growing, we try to foresee our customers’needs in the Far East and reduce delivery times, thus making our services even moreconvenient”.

To further expand its import services in Russia, DHL Express launched its DHL Break Bulk Expressservice for its Russian customers. Under this service, consolidated shipments to Russia are brokendown into individual shipments and then forwarded to different recipients within the same customsunion using a single customs clearance.

This service requires just a single payment of customs duties and taxes for all shipments. Itthus minimises customer warehousing and inventory costs as shipments are delivered directly to therecipient after clearance and also helps reduce delivery costs, DHL explained.

The knowledge andexperience in logistics and customs clearance of DHL Express’s international specialists enable usto offer every customer a solution responding to their needs and requirements. As one of thebiggest customs brokers in Russia, we always aim at improving our service. Most of the shipmentsimported by DHL Express are cleared within 1 hour after aircraft landing. As a result, around 20%of all our shipments are delivered on the day of their arrival to Russia.”
