Vanderlande said its softwaretools are also important for the sorting process at Urgent Curier.
“Users increasingly need on-demand access to information that is often hidden within differentdata sources. Creating reports that provide the necessary insight at strategic, operational andtechnical levels is therefore often time-consuming and requires specific knowledge”, Roald deGroot, Key Account Manager Parcel & Postal at Vanderlande Industries, said. “The VanderlandeIndustries VISION software suite offers a transparent solution for gathering, storing and analysingdata that allows our customers to make better decisions about the performance and efficiency oftheir total process.”
The POSISORTER provides positive high-capacity and high-accuracy sorting of a wide range ofproducts. This horizontal, high-speed sorting conveyor has full-width extruded aluminium carrierson which moulded divert shoes are mounted. These shoes slide across the carriers, pushing theproducts gently into the output spurs in a diagonal movement. The construction of the carrierscreates a closed deck, so that no objects can fall through or become stuck. Maintenance is quickand simple, with a patented ‘plug-and-play’ carrier design that allows a shoe to be changed in lessthan 60 seconds.
Separately, Vanderlande has also announced financial results for the year ending March 31, 2012,with its order intake up 40% to €713 million in value terms. All market segments contributed to theremarkable growth, especially baggage handling. Company turnover remained at the same level with€565 million while net earnings amounted to 2.9% of sales.
