SingPost today unveiled a new online booking tool ‘ezy2ship’ for parcel shipments as part of itsdrive to profit from the e-commerce boom.
The user-friendly online booking tool, which will go live in August, will make it easier andfaster for businesses to manage and send their domestic and international packages in just a fewclicks. The solution will be demonstrated at this week’s World Mail & Express Asia PacificConference & Exhibition in Singapore.
From August, SingPost’s corporate logistics customers can access ezy2ship at www.ezy2ship.com using a log-in ID and password generated bySingPost. The service is entirely web-based, does not require special dedicated hardware orsoftware, and can be accessed anywhere, at any time. Customers will be able to perform a variety offunctions 24/7, including preparing and printing shipment labels, scheduling a parcel pick-up (forcertain services), accessing tracking data, managing online shipments and generating shipmentinformation.
Ezy2ship, provided in cooperation with NeoPost, will also be made available to SingPost’scorporate mail customers and retail customers at a later phase.
SingPost said the ezy2ship booking tool is part of its continuous efforts to leverage technologyto enhance efficiency and service level. The local parcels market has been driven by the unabatedgrowth in domestic and international e-commerce, and the company’s logistics revenues grew 8.6% inthe latest financial year, it pointed out.
