Correos Chile has started deploying ‘easyPack’ self-service parcel terminals from thefast-growing Polish private postal group InPost in the capital, Santiago, after several months of
testing.Under the contract with InPost’s parent company Integer, the Chilean postal operator willimplement about 300 easyPack 24/7 machines within the next two years.
This latest move is part of InPost’s aggressive international expansion of its parcel terminalnetwork across Europe and beyond. Chile adds to eight other countries where InPost has signedagreements for the installation of the machines since the beginning of 2011 including Saudi Arabia,Cyprus, Estonia, Spain, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia and Russia.
In April this year, InPost sealed a €108 million deal with the international finance groupPineBridge Investments to finance its ambitious plan to roll out 16,000 parcel terminals acrossEurope in the next four years, and plans to install machines in the UK and several other countriesthis year. By the end of 2012, the company aims to install a total of 1,000 terminals in its homemarket Poland where it now delivers some 10,000 parcels a day to its 420 EasyPack terminals acrossthe country.
Over two years, Integer.pl will make a cash and capital investment of €58 million, whilePineBridge Investments will provide an investment of €50 million. The joint investment is subjectto approval by the UOKiK (Office of Competition and Customer Protection).

In concrete figures, InPost aims to launch a total of 1,000 terminals in 2012, 3,000 in 2013,2,500 in 2014 and 2,500 in 2015. In addition, there will be 4,000 machines held in reserve by theInteger.pl Group to be installed in different countries, depending on the market demand. Its nearlyfive-year international expansion is valued at €350 million.
The share of non-standard services is estimated to account for at least 30% of Integer.pl Grouprevenue in the coming years. Its revenues from international projects boosted by strategicinvestments are expected to reach €20-40 million annually over the next few years.
