TNT Innight has teamed up with the global forklift manufacturer Crown Equipment Corporation todeliver spare parts for the company across Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands during the
night.Starting in March this year, TNT Innight has been supplying Crown’s service technicians with theneeded spare parts from Crown’s central warehouse in Munich, providing eco-friendly transportationthrough its reusable boxes.
“We pursue a Europe-wide growth strategy which we can only implement with a high-quality andcustomer-oriented after sales service,” Jan Bode, Aftermarket Manager at Crown, explained. “Aneffective spare parts management is one of the most important key factors for maximum productivityand minimal operating costs. Our aim is therefore to provide our customers with the required spareparts in the shortest possible time.”
Crown had searched for a night express provider able to supply its distributors and servicetechnicians Europe-wide with spare parts and decided in favour of TNT Innight due to its presencein 26 European countries. “We thus have a single night express provider for the EuropeanAftermarket and don’t need to look for individual regional solutions,” Bode added.
Spare parts ordered by late afternoon are delivered by TNT Innight from the central warehouse inMunich to the luggage trunk of the service technicians during the night. Parts ordered on a Fridayafternoon reach their destination in the early hours of Saturday. For this special service, customers entrust TNT Innight with the keys or access codes to the car or other pre-arrangedparking spaces. Overall, TNT Innight currently holds 49,400 keys in Germany alone.
Since the beginning of the cooperation, Crown has been using TNT Innight’s eco-friendly boxesavailable in four sizes with a capacity of 5-58 litres and a payload of 15-50 kg. The boxes savespace, can be stacked and securely closed with seals to ensure the protection of the spare partsduring transportation.
Bode said the eco-friendly boxes support Crown’s initiatives related to sustainability andenvironmental protection to achieve waste reduction, efficient energy consumption and to extend theproduct life.
