DHL Express scores high for Irish football team in run-up to Euro 2012 finals

As part of the long-term partnership, DHL delivered all of the team kit, physio supplies,training equipment, and general supplies to the training camp in Montecatini, northern Italy.Similarly, all items for the friendly game versus Hungary have been safely delivered waiting forthe team arriving on June 4th for the friendly match in Budapest. Another important and very largeshipment including all team equipment and supplies for the team camp in Poland was alreadydelivered in dedicated DHL trucks to the team base well ahead of the squad’s arrival in Poland.

Earlier this year, DHL Express also became the main sponsor of Bohemian Football Club, furtherstrengthening its ties with Irish football.

Bernard McCarthy, Managing Director, DHL Express Ireland, said: “A dedicated team of logisticsexperts from DHL and the FAI have been working hard behind the scenes in preparation for the Euro2012 Finals. It’s quite a complex logistical challenge and the planning process started some monthsago in order to ensure that everything was in place for the squad when they arrived at theirtraining camp in Italy and thereafter for the friendly match in Budapest and of course for thefinals themselves in Poland.”
