UPS expands early morning delivery to more US destinations

UPS has further extended the delivery coverage of its Early Morning service in the USA whichallows more than 80% of the country’s businesses to receive their UPS shipments in the morning.

In this second expansion in just nine months, UPS has expanded its Early Morning service until 8a.m. and Next Day Air Early A.M. deliveries to more than 2,600 ZIP codes while also increasing thenumber of ZIP codes it serves by 10:30 a.m. with its regular express service.

The company claimed that this enhancement allows it delivering to more ZIP codes and morebusinesses by 8 a.m. than any other carrier thus further strengthening its competitiveposition.

“Customers tell us every second counts,” Alan Gershenhorn, UPS’s chief sales and marketingofficer, said. “Take healthcare laboratories, for example. Every package represents a patient andgetting results back faster is critical. Earlier deliveries can be the customer experiencedifference, and they provide all companies a real competitive advantage. Businesses know they candepend on UPS for fast and reliable service.”

Other types of business benefitting from earlier urgent deliveries include automotive,industrial manufacturing, high-tech and professional service companies who need equipment, partsand documents to be delivered early in the morning, UPS explained.

In its first expansion step in August last year, the integrator already significantly expandedthe number of locations in the United States that can receive delivery of UPS Next Day Air EarlyA.M. packages.
