DHL Express Germany has extended its ten-year cooperation with MDH AG for another three years fromMay 1, 2012, and will deliver the dental firm’s shipments climate-neutrally in future.
For the first time the market leader in foreign quality dental prosthesis will send around350,000 carbon neutral DHL Express shipments annually, becoming DHL Express Germany’s largestdomestic express GoGreen customer.
All emissions generated by these shipments will be recorded and offset through climateprotection projects that Deutsche Post DHL supports as part of its sustainability initiative, forinstance, by supporting wind farms in Nicaragua or a biomass power plant in India.
For dentists and their patients in Germany, high quality along with professional service is adecisive factor when choosing a dental prosthesis. That’s why around 5,000 dentists in Germanyprefer MDH AG and, in turn, DHL Express services. DHL Express picks up the dental impressions madeat the dental offices within 90 minutes and delivers them directly to MDH AG.
After passing through quality control, the shipment is sent air freight via Frankfurt to thecompany’s laboratory in China on the same day. As soon as the manufactured dental prosthesisarrives at MDH AG in Germany and a second quality control has been completed, DHL Express deliversit back to the original dental office.
Wolfgang P. Albeck, CEO of DHL Express Germany explains the added service for MDH AGcustomers: “In addition to purely transporting the goods, our sales team also provides new dentistswith an introduction to the shipping procedures on behalf of MDH AG and walks them through theentire logistics process.”
“More and more dentists are putting their trust into the solid quality and professionalservice of MDH AG. We make sure that German standards are available and affordable around theworld. And that includes the guarantee that all our materials are free of harmful chemicals andbiocompatible,” said Dr. Jens Patrick Hourle, Board of Management Member for Legal and CorporateGovernance at MDH AG. “That’s why it is also important for us to have a reliable logistics partner, who shares our belief in quality.”
