TNT Express will launch a new premium B2C Sameday Delivery service in the Netherlands next monthin cooperation with Docdata, a leading provider of e-commerce services, responding to the needs of
online shoppers for quick and reliable delivery.Goods ordered online before 13.30 will be delivered to customers on the same day between 18.00and 21.00. In addition, TNT Express delivery drivers will phone half an hour in advance beforemaking the delivery. TNT Express and Docdata are primarily targeting big online retailers with theservice, which will launch on May 1.
“Our mission is to make the online shops of our customers stand out. To do this, we think abouthow to make online shopping (from home) as simple as possible. With Sameday Delivery, we respond toa need that is clearly stated by the consumer. One of the major disadvantages with online shoppingis that the customer needs to wait at home for his purchase and doesn’t know when the order isgoing to be delivered. Thanks to this service, the ordered product will be delivered the same day,”Jack Heijkans, Director General at Docdata B.V., explained.
“Our customers are very interested in this premium service. It gives them the possibility todistinguish themselves from other online shops. Bol.com and Bijenkorf, in particular, have alreadyshown interest,” he added.

TNT Express Benelux already provides several time-definite and day-definite B2B services, suchas 9:00, 10:00 and 12:00 express services for next-day delivery.
