TNT Express has opened a new regional hub at Hong Kong airport to increase capacity efficiencyin the growing Pearl Delta Region.
The 7,380 sqm facility features the most advanced sorting and security technology and in-housecustoms clearance. It is strategically located at the centre of TNT’s highly efficient air and roadnetwork that includes air links to TNT’s European hub at Liege, Belgium, and to the rest ofEurope.
The new hub has the capacity to handle up to 600 tonnes of cargo daily further enhancing TNT’sair services between Asia and Europe and its Asia Road Network, which offers day-definite deliveryservice from China through to Southeast Asia
Eva Cheng, Secretary for Transport and Housing of the Government of the Hong Kong SpecialAdministrative Region, welcomed the establishment of the facility in Hong Kong at the hub’sinauguration ceremony: “The Regional Hub is a state-of-the-art logistics facility that will caterfor the increasing cargo flow in the region as well as generate greater connectivity between AsiaPacific and Europe using Hong Kong as a base.”
