Leading French transport group Geodis will modernise and extend its major hub in Evry Lisses, inthe southern suburbs of Paris, to improve the site’s performance to better respond to the needs of
its customers in the FMCG retail and hi-tech sectors.As part of an agreement with the property firm Prologis, the planned extension of nearly30,000 sqm will take the hub to a size of 100,000 sqm while the existing area will be redeveloped.
The project is the result of a six-month cooperation between the operational teams of the twopartners. Geodis stressed that it will boost its activities in southern Paris offering its currentand future customers innovative and effective solutions.
“Geodis anticipates that new contracts will come up at this site which will become astrategic hub for the metropolitan area of Paris,” Geodis Managing Director Jean-Louis Demeulenaeresaid.
The extension of the hub is due to be completed in 2013 with the agreement coming into forcewith immediate effect.

The Geodis network covers 120 countries with 31,000 staff employed at the company. Thecompany recorded a turnover of €6.9 billion in 2011.
