Night Star Express shareholder takes over regional business from external partner

German in-night express operator Night Star Express has restructured its operations in a keypart of the country’s industrial heartland.

NSE shareholder Friedrich Zufall Friedrich GmbH & Co. KG has taken over the operational areaaround the German cities of Dortmund and Hagen from the network’s previous partner Kuehne + Nagel(AG & Co.) KG. Following the change, the local business will move from the KN site at Nagen toZufall’s facility at Unna from 1 March onwards.

The new location in Unna provides 2,000 sqm in operating space and has excellent transport linksin all directions. From there, Night Star Express will initially operate 35 delivery tours in totalserving an area of over 12,000 square kilometres with night express services through the initial 15staff.

Managing director Matthias Hohmann stressed that the takeover by the Zufall logistics group willnot change anything for the customers in the region. “According to our First Class Nightexpressphilosophy, we are very proud to strengthen our system from the inside with this step.”

Night Star Express specialises in urgent deliveries of spare parts for sectors such as theautomotive, manufacturing and electronics industries as well as special ad-hoc deliveries.
