Blue Dart profit soars 30% in 2011

DHL’s Indian subsidiary Blue Dart Express improved profits by nearly 30% in 2011.

The express operator’s net profit rose 29.5% from Rs 944 million in 2010 to Rs 1.2 bn (€18.6

million) last year, and it ended 2011 with revenues of Rs 14.9 billion (€231 million), up 29.8% on2010.

Blue Dart’s domestic volumes grew 13.6% to 98.85 million shipments last year while internationalshipments grew to 0.8 million from 0.7 million the previous year. The company delivered over423,200 tonnes of documents and parcels across the nation and worldwide.
