USPS has further expanded its successful line of Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes and its expressmail services with the launch of the first Express Mail Flat Rate Box, designed especially for
consumer and small businesses selling goods online.For $39.95 (€30.43), the new Express Mail Flat Rate Box provides overnight delivery of shipmentsweighing up to 70 pounds (31.75 kg) to almost any destination in the USA.
Gary Reblin, vice president, Domestic Products, explained: “With the Express Mail Flat Rate Box,there’s no need to use a zone chart to calculate prices. If it fits, it ships. The Express MailFlat Rate Box offers convenience, ease of use, free packaging and a flat-out value price.”
Express Mail Flat Rate Boxes also can be used for international shipments with a maximum weightof 20 pounds (9.07 kg) at a price of $59.95 (€45.65) to Canada and $74.95 (€57.08) for all othercountries that accept Express Mail International.
With the same size as the medium Priority Mail Flat Rate Box, the Express Mail Flat Rate Box isavailable in a top-loading or side-loading design. The boxes can be ordered online at usps.com andare also available at select post offices. Via the USPS website, customers can also order FreePackage Pickup and get delivery status information using the Track & Confirm tool available forfree when shipping online.
The new express box complements USPS’ Express Mail Flat Rate product range, which includes anExpress Mail Flat Rate Envelope and an Express Mail Flat Rate Legal Envelope, both purchasable for$18.95 (€14.43).
Express Mail service offers a money-back guarantee with some restrictions and overnight deliveryto most US addresses, including PO Boxes. Express Mail is delivered 365 days a year with noSaturday delivery charges, residential surcharges or fuel surcharges. Sunday and holiday deliveryis available to many ZIP codes for a modest premium, USPS added.
