FedEx expands mobile applications in time for busy Christmas season

FedEx has expanded the range of its mobile applications just in time for the holidays makingshipping-on-the-go easier than ever, which is in line with the busy holiday season.

Geographically, the FedEx Mobile website has now expanded to 206 countries and in 25 languages.Additionally, the FedEx Mobile app is now available for iPad and Android users. 

With these additions, FedEx has significantly enhanced its suite of mobile solutions thatalready includes Mobile Shipping Label, an optimised fedex.com web experience for smartphones, andFedEx Mobile apps for the iPhone, iPod touch and BlackBerry smartphones.
 
The new FedEx smartphone solutions and expansions are designed to make it easier forcustomers to ship gifts and packages. With FedEx Mobile, they can create labels and ship packages,obtain accurate and reliable rate quotes and estimated delivery times, track their shipment status,schedule a pick-up and find the nearest locations such as FedEx drop box, FedEx Express WorldService Centre or FedEx Office location based on the GPS coordinates.
 
FedEx Mobile is now available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch from the App Store in 118countries and 11 languages. For Android users, the FedEx Mobile application is now available inAndroid Market, and is offered in English in 120 countries. In the coming months, more countriesand languages will be added for Android users. FedEx Mobile is also available for BlackBerrysmartphones on BlackBerry App World in 139 countries.

FedEx also offers FedEx Office Print & Go, a smartphone solution that allows customers toaccess and print important documents while on the go. Through FedEx Office Print & Go,customers can send documents directly for printing on digital copy machines at FedEx Officelocations across the U.S.

The recent FedEx Mobile expansions are the latest in a line ofweb-based and mobile device solutions from FedEx that enable our customers to stay connected andefficient while on the road, particularly during the busy holiday season.”
