Online fashion firms use Hermes for webshops and delivery

German parcel and logistics group Hermes has picked up new contracts with two online fashionfirms for webshops and parcel deliveries.

Hermes NexTec, the group’s webshop business, has won a contract with Austrian fashion retailerWolford. It has successfully migrated the firm’s existing online shop to the NexTec software,including 13 country versions, and is now handling shop and content management for the company.

Sister company Hermes Fulfilment is already responsible for warehousing at the company’slogistics centre in Haldensleben in Saxony Anhalt, Germany, and distribution of Wolford products toall 13 countries.

“With Wolford we are internationalising our business and are now present in all importantEuropean markets,” said Holger Lendner, managing director of Hermes NexTec. In September, thecompany already launched a webshop for German fashion label Arqueonautas, which is promoted byHollywood star Kevin Costner.

Meanwhile, major British online fashion firm MandMDirect has started selling in Germany and hascontracted Hermes for parcel deliveries and returns. The two companies have already cooperated inBritain since 2004. MandMDirect focuses on top brands at attractive prices and has introduced freereturns within 28 days of purchase.

Ryan Morris, MandMDirect manager in Germany, said: “We are delighted to expand our existingrelationship with Hermes. The free returns service not only offers customers price benefits but wasalso specially developed to adapt to the individual lifestyle of our clients.”
