DHL Global Forwarding is expanding its services for temperature-controlled shipments with newspecial air freight containers.
The Deutsche Post DHL air and ocean freight company has entered into a master lease agreementwith CSafe, LLC, a leading heat-and-cool container provider for the temperature-sensitive airfreight market located in Ohio, USA.
DHL Global Forwarding said the deal enabled customers to choose from a wider range of specialair freight containers and was a further part of its continued efforts to provide innovativesolutions for packaging-based cold chain services.

Since its launch in 2008, thousands of successful shipments have been made with CSafe’sheat-and-cool container. During flight the temperature is maintained within the range 4°C to 25°Cby means of rechargeable batteries – whether ambient temperatures are normal or extreme, i.e.ranging from -30°C to 49°C.
Ensuring the highest possible quality and security of shipments is crucial for the Healthcareindustry. Temperatures must be kept on a constant level during all logistic processes, especiallywhen it comes to delivering large consignments of extremely sensitive, high-value goods such asvaccines.
