Spain’s Correos adapts to e-commerce needs with new parcel services

Spanish postal operator Correos has unveiled a new commercial strategy with a range of newparcel services targeting the growing e-commerce sector.

Under the slogan ‘Paquetería 360º’, the new strategy focuses on three core areas includinge-commerce, express delivery and international shipments.

Correos claimed the new service range covered all the logistics needs within the e-commercesector, including urgent delivery options and various return options, with tailor-made solutionsfor e-commerce, SMEs and self-employed people, immigrants, and foreign students.

With the help of its express subsidiary Chronoexprés, Correos has strengthened its position inthe Spanish express market. Chronoexprés provides a comprehensive range of parcel services forexpress shipments, semi-urgent and non-urgent items. It also offers various modes of delivery andflexible delivery times.

The product portfolio of Paquetería 360º includes some high-added-value services, as is the casewith its Multichrono product, offering special handling of goods, in addition to parceldelivery.

Correos said the launch of its new business lines covered any destination anywhere in the worldand all customer needs in the parcel market. The company’s 60,000 professional employees currentlyship 18 million parcels daily to reach 19 million households and 2 million businesses.
