FedEx Trade Networks continues global expansion with new offices

FedEx Trade Networks, the growing FedEx ocean and air freight forwarding business, has furtherexpanded its international network with new offices in Johannesburg (South Africa), Bologna (Italy)

as well as in Ankara and Izmir (Turkey).

The opening of the new office in Johannesburg marks its entry into the South African market,while the offices in Bologna, Ankara and Izmir are additional locations in Italy and Turkey. InNovember 2010, FedEx Trade Networks opened an office in Milan, Italy, and established operations inIstanbul, Turkey, in August this year.

FedEx said customers would benefit from increased access to major global markets, both inboundand outbound, combining ocean service options and flexible air freight forwarding solutions thatemploy a variety of value-added services. These include the ability to manage their supply chainand control their goods in transit from point of origin to final destination. Other multimodalsolutions offered by FedEx Trade Networks include customs brokerage, purchase order management withGlobal Order Logistics, surface transportation, warehousing and distribution.

Since 2008, the company has aggressively expanded its global network opening a total of 45offices throughout Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia, in addition to its more than 70locations throughout the USA and Canada.
