Deutsche Post has been recognised once again for its sustainable activities with high ranks inthe Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index, FTSE4 Good Index
and the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index 2011.In 2011, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index ranked over 1,400 companies. Deutsche Post DHLimproved in all of the index’s main criteria, scoring two points overall higher than in 2010 (from85 to 87). In terms of the environmental criteria, the company achieved a very high score with 99out of 100 points.
In addition, Deutsche Post DHL has been added once again for the FTSE4 Good Index. The FTSE4Good evaluates companies for their sustainable performance based on criteria such as sustainableenvironmental standards, efforts to cope with climate change and working standards. Deutsche Posthas been listed in the FTSE4 Good Index since 2004.
The company also scored high in this year’s Global 500 Report issued by the Carbon DisclosureProject (CDP). The Group’s carbon reporting achieved the highest score among all other companies inthe Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), with 99 out of 100 points.
The CDP is a non-profit organisation, which is commissioned by 551 investors around the worldwith combined assets under management of roughly $71 billion to evaluate the climate protectiondata and strategies of the world’s largest companies.
Each year, the international indices rank companies on their sustainability efforts and resultsbased on strict criteria. They form an important basis for the decision-making of the investors whocare about sustainability.
