British parcels firm Yodel proved itself the ‘purr-fect’ choice for Britain’s largest online petstore by gaining a new delivery contract.
Yodel has secured a contract with Pet Supermarket.co.uk to be the retailer’s sole deliverypartner. The contract for Yodel’s Business and Neighbourhood services, represents approximately250,000 deliveries of pet food and supplies per year, and was won from incumbent supplierParcelforce.
The web based pet supplies company, headquartered in Jarrow, South Tyneside, was founded in 2004by entrepreneur Mark Berriman and has seen substantial sales growth year on year in everything frompet food and toys to medication.
Pet Supermarket.co.uk’s managing director, Mark Berriman said: “Pet Supermarket.co.uk wasestablished by pet lovers for pet lovers, to provide the products that they and their animals relyon, at the best possible prices. Yodel’s services help us to fulfil that promise and from 12 Septembercustomers will be able to choose from a variety of Yodel’s options including 24, 48 and 74 hourdelivery – which can be essential when buying medication for your pet.”
