UPS extends Japanese car racing sponsorship

UPS has renewed its one-year sponsorship agreement with Japanese car racing team, the Team TAISAN.


As team sponsor, UPS will continue to support the transportation of Team TAISAN’s racing carparts and equipment. The UPS logo will also be featured on Team TAISAN’s racing cars and racingsuits.

Under this sponsorship agreement, which started in July 2010, UPS will support Team TAISAN’sparticipation in the Super GT, EV-GP (Electric-Vehicle Grand Prix) and other car races in Japan.

Founded in 1983 as Porsche Advan Works, Team TAISAN is a renowned car racing team that hasbeen competing in Japan’s top racing series, “Super GT,” since the series’ inception in 1994. Theteam has also built up a strong track record in international races, such as the 24 Hours of LeMans, the world’s oldest endurance car race. To date, Team TAISAN has recorded a total of 67 winsand has won the Japanese national championship 12 times.
