Dutch IT firm Imtech picks up €60m Exapaq contract

Dutch-based IT company Imtech has won a €60 million contract to modernise the entire informationand communications systems at French parcels operator Exapaq.



The Gouda-based firm said the contract from Exapaq parent company La Poste covered all ICTsystems and IT solutions at the parcels subsidiary. It has already worked for the French parcelsfirm for many years.

Besides being responsible for the operation of the entire ICT system, including its network,Imtech will also employ own developed software systems to create an optimum logistics totalsolution. In total, Imtech will create a perfect fitting company-wide software solution in the formof an open platform to which the most diverse information systems are linked. This exactly matchesthe requirements of France Post’s Exapaq.

Exapaq is one of France’s leading B2B parcel services providers and handles more than 47million parcels annually. The company, with some 2,000 employees and 500 sub-contractors, operatesa network of 56 depots.

Existing Imtech clients in the European logistics market include DHL, City Express (asubsidiary of Austrian Post), Slovenia Post, Logwin and Panalpina, as well as many medium-sizedlogistics companies.
