DHL Global Forwarding, the road, air and sea freight specialist arm of DHL, today announced theconsolidation of its network of secure road freight services connecting Singapore, Malaysia and
Thailand, along with plans for extension through Indo-China into China.Launched in Kuala Lumpur, DHL’s new and improved suite of three road freight services – DHLASIACONNECT, DHL ASIALINE and DHL ASIANET – will provide customers with a complete range offlexible and fast overland freighting options. DHL ASIACONNECT is DHL’s Less-than-Truck-Load (LTL)scheduled service that is now available to complement DHL’s full-load service, now called DHLASIALINE, and its bespoke service, DHL ASIANET.

Unlike traditional LTL solutions, DHL ASIACONNECT comprises a complete, dedicated DHL servicewith scheduled stops along DHL Global Forwarding’s dedicated network in Singapore, Johor Bahru,Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Bangkok. The service provides the fastest LTL connection from Singapore toPenang with overnight delivery, and a two-day door-to-door service from Singapore or Kuala Lumpurto Bangkok. High security and a set of web-based customer tools to track shipments and generatereports further elevate DHL’s service offering. In addition, value-added benefits, such as customsbrokerage and the complete handling of import, export and transit documentation, are provided. DHLASIACONNECT is hubbed out of Malaysia via a new fully-dedicated cross-border command and securitycenter in Kuala Lumpur.
DHL ASIALINE is DHL Global Forwarding’s tailor-made Full-Truck-Load (FTL) service fordomestic or cross-border needs. A flexible and cost-efficient transport solution for full loads inall countries with a DHL Global Forwarding presence – such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand,Vietnam or Pakistan – DHL ASIALINE offers an extensive geographical coverage.
With DHL ASIANET, DHL Global Forwarding offers customised road transport network serviceswhich meet specific customer and industry requirements, both domestically and internationally.
