TNT Express UAE extends security certification to 2013

TNT Express UAE has obtained security certification by the Transported Asset Protection Association(TAPA) for 2011-2013, achieving an audit score of 97% for its main depot in Dubai. The company said

the renewal of its TAPA certification reflected the company’s high security standards.

TAPA is a global forum of security, insurance and logistics professionals established toensure the safe and secure transport, storage and warehousing of TAPA members’ assets throughoutthe world.
 
TAPA certified companies must pass a detailed independent physical premises audit to ensurecompliance with numerous Freight Security Requirements (FSRs). The FSR contains elements for accesscontrol, employee checks, perimeter security, intruder security devices, monitoring systems,high-value storage areas, transit delays and other areas of concern in warehouses, distributioncentres, and consolidation facilities. It also includes specifying minimum security measures fordrivers.
