UK home delivery specialist Yodel is launching an innovative catalogue delivery tracking toolcalled ‘Houndit’, to enhance its end-to-end parcel tracking system, providing retail clients with
peace of mind that sales materials are reaching the correct households.‘Houndit for Catalogues’ was jointly developed and implemented by Yodel and mobile solutionsprovider Skillweb, to provide a cost-effective means of tracking, tracing and reporting on thedelivery of catalogues.
The technology solution will enable each catalogue to be quickly and effectively scanned as theymove through the delivery process all the way to the doorstep, improving visibility andfacilitating item tracking where it had previously been cost prohibitive. In addition, it will alsoallow for collection of data where successful delivery is not possible, using the local knowledgeof the nationwide network of Yodel Neighbourhood couriers and specialised catalogue deliveryagents, to provide added insight for retail clients. Yodel delivers 12 million catalogues on behalfof its clients each year.
