DHL Freight has launched a new unified shipment tracking system across Europe to simplify andfurther improve shipping processes for customers.
Through the so-called Active Tracing system, customers can check the location of their roadfreight transport in an easier way, the company claimed, receiving up to 30 bits of information pershipment covering the entire transportation chain, from pick-up to delivery.
In addition, Active Tracing apps are available for iPhones and Android smartphones designedespecially for small and medium-sized businesses to enable them to access this information anywhereand anytime.
DHL’s new online Active Tracing site, which combines all existing European tracing systemsinto one, is customised for multinational companies that are active in various European countries.Customers can receive constant updates about the departures, current locations, destinations andarrival dates of their shipments. They can look up shipping histories for the last six months andcan even create their own personalised reports.
