Collect+, the UK’s innovative parcel delivery and returns service, was selected by Zalando, theGerman-based online shoe retailer, to manage its customer returns service.
The shoe and fashion store launched its UK site in April and has chosen to partner withCollect+, which allows consumers to return items via local convenience stores, rather than rely oncourier collection or queuing at the Post Office.
Collect+ enables online shoppers to collect and drop off parcels at local stores of their choicethus giving them more freedom and flexibility. It was founded in February 2009 as a joint venturebetween Yodel (formerly Home Delivery Network) and UK’s leading retail payment network PayPoint andoperates through a network of specially selected PayPoint Stores. It has rapidly expanded into anationwide network of over 3,800 participating stores.
As part of the partnership, customers can return Zalando goods free of charge via their nearestCollect+ store. All of the outlets are open from early morning until late in the evening and sevendays a week in most cases which makes them very convenient for customers.
To ensure timely and safe delivery, Zalando enables customers to track their orders throughoutthe delivery process while Collect+ allows them to track all returns on their way back.
Mark Lewis, Chief Executive of Collect+, commented: “To have been chosen as a partner by such apopular and successful retailer is a great achievement for Collect + and we are excited to beginthis new venture. As a new service ourselves, we understand Zalando’s desire to make a goodimpression on their new UK customers and we look forward to helping them achieve that by providingthe best service possible.”
