PostNord has stepped up its logistics expansion in the Nordic region with the acquisition of akey regional trucking company, NH Logistics.
The Swedish-Danish postal group announced that it has signed an agreement with NordstjernanIndustriutveckling AB for the acquisition of Nils Hansson Logistics AB (NH Logistics). The purchaseprice was not disclosed and the transaction is subject to approval by the competitionauthorities.
The acquisition will complement PostNord’s logistics operations with leading expertise in roadtransportation, further strengthening the group’s position as a leading supplier of logisticsservices to, from and within the Nordic region.
NH Logistics AB was founded in 1953 and has its main plant in Ljungbyhed, Sweden. The companyhad sales of over SEK 346 million (€38 million) in 2010. NH Logistics runs shipping and transportoperations within Sweden and between Sweden and Western Europe, primarily Germany, Spain andFrance. The company has been owned by Nordstjernan Industriutveckling since 2005.

The current CEO of NH Logistics AB, Jörgen Malmqvist, will continue in his role. The companywill have a new Board of Directors following approval by the competition authorities.
