DHL Express has improved its online tools Trade Automation Services (TAS) and Import Express Onlineto simplify international trade and online shipping for customers.
As part of the enhancement, DHL Trade Automation Services (TAS), a global online resourcethat provides comprehensive trade and customs data, has been extended geographically with 11additional countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and South America. These include Algeria,Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. The servicethus now covers 74 countries.
TAS offers many competitive advantages for global shippers, DHL explained, by taking theguesswork out of estimating duties, taxes and other import fees by calculating the total “landedcosts” between countries up front. It ensures customers’ commodities comply with a country’s importand export regulations and checks shipper and receiver details against government lists, embargosand sanctions so customers for global compliance.
DHL Import Express Online is a web-based tool that simplifies the importing process forcustomers, providing them with the ability to coordinate effective communications between importersand shippers via the internet in a highly secure manner. Available in 111 countries, the tool nowprovides the shipper with a standing authorisation from the Import Express account holder whicheliminates the approval process for each shipment. A shipper can also receive an associated loginID to create shipments using the Importer’s account number at any time.
Other enhancements include the ability to import and export addresses into IEO from otherapplications, improved security to prevent fraudulent use, and visibility of transit time and ratequote for all available services. These new features save valuable time for customers, DHLstressed.
