TNT Express has broadened its air freight services with the launch of an Economy Airfreightproduct.
The new product offers door-to-airport and door-to-door services, using the company’s airfreight network and express delivery services, TNT Express Benelux announced.
Customers now have just one point of contact for deliveries of pallets, parcels, documents andother air shipments, and can fully track and trace their shipments, the company said. Shipments canbe addressed to the final customer.
Fokke Kleuver, airfreight manager Benelux, said: “The considerable investments made by TNT inintercontinental routes enable us to transport air freight between Europe and the USA, Duabi,India, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chongqing and Singapore without having to call on external serviceproviders. Moreover, TNT Express has an excellent regional road network. As a result, we offer ourclients more choice in terms of speed, price and delivery conditions.”
The new Economy Air Freight service complements the existing Express Air Freight service. Bothare targeted at larger freight shipments while TNT’s time-definite express and economy expressservices are mostly targeted at parcels or pallets up to 500kg.
TNT Express now operates own or dedicated freighter flights to Europe from five strategiclocations in Asia: New Delhi, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore.
