MRW expands e-commerce activities, adding big companies to its customers

Spanish express operator MRW has expanded its customer portfolio with the addition of severalwell known names, by focusing on online sales through its Advanced Logistics division, a leading

B2B and B2C logistics provider of value-added services across Spain.

In little more than a year, MRW extended the number of its customers who rely on it to delivertheir online sales to over 4,000. Recent additions include big names such as Amazon and Venca. Itscontract with the private club Privalia has also been renewed, with MRW being entrusted once againto distribute its online sales within the Spanish mainland.

MRW’s e-commerce activities have been recognised this year with the award for the beste-logistics service provider at the E-commerce Expo in Spain, which took place in March thisyear.

MRW said that by continuing to provide high-quality urgent transport for e-commerce and onlinesales, it expected to see good growth in its economic performance in 2011.

Founded in 1977, MRW is a leading express operator in the Spanish market, focusing on smallparcels across Spain and internationally. The group has over 1,300 franchises and operates inSpain, Portugal, Andorra, Gibraltar and Venezuela. It ships 40 million items a year on average andgenerated a turnover of €563 million in 2010. Its fleet exceeds 3,000 vehicles.
