Spanish postal operator Correos and its express subsidiary Chronoexprés have presented their newparcel product “Paquetería 360°” at this week’s international logistics fair SIL in Barcelona.
The group is sponsoring this year’s event, which includes with the 9th Mediterranean Logisticsand Transport Forum, for the 13th time in a row.
For the first time, SIL has dedicated a separate hall to e-commerce where Correos andChronoexprés have established their stand with the shape of a giant notebook displaying theadvantages of their new integrated parcel product. Paquetería 360° combines the different productsand services of both companies providing a complete range of solutions tailored to the needs ofonline trade.
Last month Correos launched a major advertising campaign in Spanish newspapers to highlight itsnew integrated parcel services and plans various other measures including a direct mailing to400,000 firms.
In addition to its own stand at SIL and the sponsorship of the event, the postal operator willparticipate in a session on 9 June under the slogan “Major issues and future challenges ofe-commerce logistics”. Miguel Menéndez, Sales Director Parcels, Correos, will speak on issuesrelated to distribution, transportation, delivery to the point of convenience and price as keyfactors in e-commerce.
Correos is one of the main sponsors of SIL, the largest trade fair for logistics andtransportation in Spain, and the second largest in Europe. Throughout the last twelve years, SILhas become a meeting point and benchmark event for all the logistics activity in Southern Europeand the Mediterranean region.
