Polish mail and parcel company InPost is further expanding its e-commerce activities with thelatest addition of Avans, a major Polish online goods chain store, to its clients.
As part of the cooperation, online shoppers have the option of sending the purchased goods to anInPost ‘Paczkomaty’ parcel machine (also known as ‘easyPack 24/7’). These parcel collection anddrop-off terminals guarantee prompt and safe online shopping operating round the clock seven days aweek, InPost said in a statement.
InPost has 420 self-service parcel collection and drop-off terminals across Poland and wants toextend the network to 800 machines by the end of 2012. The system has 110,000 registered users, and61% of clients are repeat users.
Almost every parcel (98.6%) sent to an InPost parcel machine is ready for collection a day afterit was sent. More than half of the customers (59%) collect their orders within the first six hoursfrom the moment they receive the text message informing them about the delivery of a parcel to theeasyPack 24/7 machine.
InPost CEO Rafal Brzoska commented: “The efficiency of the easyPack 24/7 machines, which isconstantly being confirmed by statistics, is the source of great joy for us. We are planning toinstall new machines in new places. We cooperate with the users of the iStore.pl platformencompassing around 1,300 stores active in various sectors, and well-known and highly-valued brandssuch as Komputronik, NEO24, VOBIS, Merlin.pl, Intymna.pl or E-lady.pl.”
Thanks to this cooperation launched in January 2011, tens of thousands of orders placed in theiStore may be completed with the use of easyPack 24/7. This innovative solution which has beenoffered by the Integer.pl Group for the past 18 months is also used by KQS.store, IAI-Shop.com,Supersklepy.pl and eTradePRO stores, and services more than 2,000 e-stores, whose offer isavailable for millions of customers.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Polish e-stores already offer delivery to InPost parcel machines. The“Send to a Parcel Machine” option is being offered as a novelty by white goods e-stores such asMegamedia.pl, Zadowolenie.pl and Oleole.pl. The prestigious PWN book store and the largest Polishonline pharmacy, Domzdrowia.pl, have also introduced the solution to their delivery options.
