The construction will start this spring to becompleted in early 2012.
During the first stage, the total area in the new modern parcel terminal will amount to over2,300 sqm. In addition, the complex will allow for further expansion based on the future needs ofDPD Eesti clients.

According to DPD Eesti Managing Director Tarmo Tael, the new logistics centre will be equippedwith modern sorting technology, which will enable shipments to be handled faster, in a more secureand precise way and in significantly larger volumes. “If we are able to deliver each package evenone second faster, this amounts to total annual savings in terms of time for our clients of morethan 555 hours, which is almost equivalent to a 13th calendar month. This is definitely veryvaluable because time is expensive. The parcel sorting technology will also be new. We are veryexcited about delivering the first packages to our customers from the brand new distributioncentre,” Tael said.
“The investment is also confirmation and thanks to our clients for their trust. They have beenDPD’s best advisers and have encouraged us to launch innovative solutions to the market,” Taeladded. “The choice of the location was based on its excellent logistical placement – JüriIndustrial Park is situated in the vicinity of Tallinn near the Tallinn-Tartu Highway and theTallinn Ring Road.”
