UK courier CitySprint continues regional expansion with new acquisition

Expanding British SameDay courier CitySprint has acquired the logistics company TnM Couriers inWarrington, North West England, for an undisclosed sum to further strengthen its coverage in the

North West region.

This is the company’s second acquisition this year following the regional acquisition of theSwindon-based company Mainlink Courier Services, and its sister business Airlink Worldwide inJanuary.

TnM Couriers Ltd was established in 2006 providing dedicated SameDay Courier transport solutionsto their customer base within the local Warrington area, and further afield across the UK. Thecompany specialises in immediate same day shipments of pharmaceutical products but also provides arange of courier services to its customers.

TnM Couriers has been re-branded to CitySprint operating from its existing location inWarrington.

Mat Nichols, the co-founder of TnM Couriers, explained his decision to work with CitySprint: “Wehave developed the TnM business to its full potential as a thriving and dynamic local courierprovider and have been working very closely with CitySprint in recent years. It is now the naturaltime to develop this relationship further so that the business can take on new challenges and growfurther. “

Existing TnM Couriers customers will now benefit from the UK wide SameDay Courier service, madepossible by CitySprint’s extensive national network. CitySprint operates the largest GPS-enabledSameDay fleet in Europe, which allows its customers to benefit from real-time information fromcollection through to delivery at the touch of a button, via the CitySprint website.

In addition to expanding its presence in the North-West, the deal enables CitySprint tocomplement its organic growth with further strategic growth through the acquisition, according toDarren Taylor, Director at City Sprint’s unit SameDay Logistics. “CitySprint is very pleased towelcome TnM Couriers as part of the business. Extending our footprint and capability in the NorthWest has always been our plan and will not only provide service benefits to our existing clientbase here but also assist in developing new opportunities in this strategically important area thecountry.”

“Through both organic growth and acquisitions, we are continuing to build our extensive nationalnetwork, which enables us to better serve our customers. We are focused on finding the bestacquisition opportunities around the country,” Taylor added.
