Postea, Skillweb deliver tracking solution to SingPost

Postea, the technology solutions provider for the postal, mailing and logistics industry, hasteamed up with Skillweb to develop a next-generation item tracking solution for Singapore Post’s

international parcels.

Under the agreement, the PostMarque system will utilise Skillweb’s proven solution Houndithosted within a cloud computing environment to replace business critical item tracking systemswithin Singapore Post before being offered to other postal operations.

Skillweb and Postea have worked closely together to successfully complete the first phasedeployment of PostMarque into Singapore Post, replacing the first of three existing track and tracesystems previously used by the postal organisation to track registered articles and internationalparcel shipments. The remaining phases of the rollout will see PostMarque completely replace alllegacy systems.

The system is designed to increase productivity, support customs compliance and improveefficiency through greater visibility and control of the post and parcel operation, whilstenhancing customer engagement with the aim of boosting service levels.

The PostMarque solution is hosted in a cloud computing environment and utilises advanced CN50handheld mobile devices from Intermec. It will provide a range of added functionality to supportthe delivery, collection and returns process including automated SMS text and email, GPS tracking,image capture and job allocation. In addition, PostMarque will enable post offices to offerweb-based customers self-service transactions, physical digital transfers and also implementtransactional fees where applicable.
