trans-o-flex Logistik-Service GmbH has signed an agreement with the German Barme Group,specialised in consulting and supplying companies in the healthcare sector, to create a nationwide

After establishing the new facility, trans-o-flex began straight away the distribution of Barme’s products ranging from dressings through syringes and canulas to hygiene and cleaning products anddisinfectants.
In a two-shift operation, several hundreds of orders that are stored in an area of 2,500 sqm arecommissioned and prepared for dispatch daily up to 7 pm. With the trans-o-flex express deliveryservice, more than 98% of consignments reach their recipients on the next working day with thestandard service.
Juan Carlos Rodriguez, Managing Director of Barme GmbH, explained: “We opted for a single sourceservice and for trans-o-flex for quality reasons. With the rising competition in the healthcareindustry, it is vital to establish and maintain quality as a principle. We saw that trans-o-flexshares this principle and that it was able to implement it very fast as a holistic concept.”

Although trans-o-flex usually works with its own inventory control software or the I-Net-Ordersystem developed for the internet connection of field service or end client orders, it used for thecurrent order Barme’s previous enterprise resource planning system at the customer’s request. “Theflexibility with which trans-o-flex handled our requirements was what convinced us,” Rodriguezconcluded.
trans-o-flex Logistik-Service operates four separate warehouses in Germany in addition to theone in Frechen and plans to establish at least one more warehouse this year.
